Only, their friendship didn't last more than a few years, before his mother passed away during childbirth. Her death left his father in a shattered state, though he remained just strong enough to care for his infant. everything else came after.

He was sick of d-list actor parties and the countless affairs it led to. the city was intrinsically empty in his view.
